Function Art - Too Much for Math 30-3?

I'm doing a simplified version of my Function Art project with both of my classes. After I showed another example of determining the equation of a line from two points, and looked out at glazed expressions, I decided to put students in random groups of three. This seemed to help, as more capable students were helping the weaker ones.

My afternoon class is quite a bit less focused than my morning class--at the end of the block they had drawn pictures, and nothing more!

I wonder how tomorrow will go. Stay tuned.
